Member of the PLO Executive Committee Hanan Ashrawi has officially announced her resignation on Thursday, while criticising the policy of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas his entourage.
"The PLO Executive Committee has been neutered of its powers and was pushed out of the decision-making circle," wrote Ashrawi in a statement, adding she hopes a change would be made "as befits an entity that wants to define itself as democratic."
