Israel records 1,288 new coronavirus cases in past day

The Health Ministry said on Sunday that 1,288 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Saturday.
After 44,810 tests conducted, the positivity rate was 2.9%.
There are 321 people hospitalized in serious condition on Sunday morning with 128 on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 2,983 people have died from complications of the disease.
