Minister of Higher Education and Minister of Water Resources Zeev Elkin is reported to be on his way to join Gideon Sa'ar's new political party "New Hope".
Elkin was a close ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
His defection is expected to be announced by Sa'ar on Tuesday evening.
