9.3 million people live in Israel, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.
Israel's general population includes 6,870,000 Jews (73.9%), 1,956,000 Arabs (21.1%) and 465,000 people (5%) belonging to other ethnic groups.
Some 49,000 people died in Israel during 2020. With 3,314 deaths since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, 1 out of every 15 deaths is virus-related.
