Israel on Saturday posted 6,004 new daily coronavirus cases, diagnosed a day prior.
The Health Ministry said over 98,000 tests had been conducted on Friday, putting the contagion rate at 6.1%.
At least 739 patients are in serious condition, of whom 177 are ventilated. The official death toll now stands at 3,384, after 37 people died from the disease over the weekend.
