The Health Ministry Sunday evening reported that 2,540 new coronavirus cases had been diagnosed since midnight.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 3,412.
Out of 48,366 battling the disease, 761 are in serious condition, with 209 connected to ventilators.
