The Employment Service reported that 48,544 new jobseekers registered with the service since Israel's third closure began eight days ago, of which 5,909 registered with the service over the past day.
For about 80% of those registered in the past eight days this is not the first time since the crisis broke out back in March 2020. For 25% of the registrants, 12,163 people, this was the second time, and for 55%, 26,507 people, this is the third time they registered with the service.
