Mike Pence calls on protesters to respect the law and leave the Capitol building now

Outgoing Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday, called on pro-Trump protesters to leave the Capitol.
On his twitter account Pence said: "The violence and destruction taking place at the US Capitol Must Stop and it Must Stop Now. Anyone involved must respect Law Enforcement officers and immediately leave the building."
Earlier, Pence was escorted out of the building to safety as protesters began to breech the building after clashing with capital police.
