Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the beginning of Sunday's cabinet meeting that the government will decide this week whether to extend the closure.
"I hope that [on Sunday] we will vaccinate about 200,000 people, as to allow for the gradual opening of parts of the economy," said Netanyahu. "For this we will need to get an estimate on the condition of the disease and whether more time is needed. We will make this decision at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, at the latest on Wednesday."
