The Health Ministry Monday morning reported that 4,868 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed since midnight, out of some 54,000 tests conducted - meaning Israel's contagion rate currently stands at 9.3%
Out of 70,836 patients battling the disease, 1,140 are in serious condition, with 358 connected to ventilators.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic rose to 4,419.
