Knesset committee head asks police not to turn Bnei Brak 'into a battlefield'

Chairman of Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee MK Yaakov Asher on Monday urged police to take control of the situation in Bnei Brak and not "turn it into a battlefield".
"What we are seeing in recent days is not Bnei Brak and it is not the nature of its residents. I ask the police not to turn Bnei Brak into a battlefield... [The residents of Bnei Brak] are people who observe the Torah and the law. A pressure cooker has been created in the city, among other things as a result of media pressure."
