Bank of Israel objects to PM and Katz's 'ineffective' coronavirus economic recovery plan

The Bank of Israel Monday objected to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Israel Katz's coronavirus economic recovery plan, which includes cash payments to citizens, calling it "ineffective"
"In general, the allocation of public resources should be made according to economic efficiency and the criterion of harm from the coronavirus crisis," a statement said. "A universal and indistinguishable distribution - such as a grant per child, regardless of income - is ineffective."
