Head of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis on Sunday presented data to the ministerial coronavirus cabinet, according to which about 40% of COVID-19 infections in Israel are among school-aged youths.
She further added that there was a 6-fold increase in the number of ventilated aged 40 to 60. She said there are 17 patients under the age of 40 who are ventilated and 25 patients under the age of 40 who are connected to a heart-lung machine.
