The Health Ministry reported Thursday morning 7,385 new cases of coronavirus out of some 83,000 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, meaning 8.9% of all tests came back positive, the lowest such figure in almost two weeks.
There were 1,103 Israelis hospitalized in serious condition with COVID-19, 315 of them were on ventilators.
The national death COVID-19 toll climbed to 4,947 with 34 Israelis dying of the disease on Wednesday alone.
