The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has authorized on Friday Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to open an investigation against Israel on alleged war crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank.
This move follows a court ruling that recognized Palestine as a state party to the Rome Statute, and therefore the prosecutor has the authority to launch a probe in the disputed territory.
