PM inaugurates new police station in Ramla as part of war on crime in Arab sector

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Public Security Minister Amir Ohana inaugurated on Thursday a new police station in the heart of the predominately Arab Jawarish neighborhood in the central city of Ramla, which began operating about last week.
"The name Jawarish became synonymous with endless crime and terror. People, families, were afraid to walk the streets," Netanyahu said. "We're in the midst of a revolution, not just in Ramla, but the entire country.
"This great effort, led by Israel Police, are meant to establish law and order in the Arab sector. We are determined to provide broad solutions, eradicate crime gangs like we've done in the Jewish sector."
The premier also said he intended to present the government with a large-scale plan to fight crime.
"We will bring the plan for immediate approval next week. You will not recognize the Arab sector, the possibilities are limitless."
