Health Ministry 2,976 new cases of coronavirus since midnight

The Health Ministry reported Friday afternoon that 2,976 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed out of some 42,000 tests conducted since midnight, putting Israel's contagion rate at 7.1%.
There are currently 1,002 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in serious condition, of which 315 are connected to ventilators
The national COVID-19 death toll reached 5,304 fatalities after 6 Israelis passed away of coronavirus-related complications on Friday alone.
