Palestinian official Mohammed Dahlan said Thursday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated 20,000 doses of the Russian "Sputnik V" vaccine to the Gaza Strips and that the shipment is on its way.
Israel did not comment on the shipment, which is likely to arrive through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
Dahlan has close connections with Emirati leaders, where he resides since being sent to exile in 2011 by the Palestinian Authority.
