The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement Friday, following the announcement of the U.S. administration that it would agree to talk with Iran and the world powers on a possible return to the 2015 nuclear deal, from which former President Donald Trump withdrew in 2018.
"Israel adheres to its commitment to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and its position on the nuclear deal has not changed. Israel believes that a return to the previous agreement will only pave Iran's path to a nuclear arsenal and maintains a continuous dialogue with the United States on this issue," the PMO stated.
