Rise in young Israelis living at home during pandemic, statistic bureau says

Gad Lior|Updated:
The National Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday on a 51.5% rise in the number of Israelis ages 18 to 34, who are living with their parents in 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic.
The bureau said that percentage was expected to rise because of the financial difficulties resulting from the health and economic crisis, as well as distant learning in universities negating the need to be on campus.
Another reason given was the fact that many young couples have opted to postpone their plans to wed while the health restrictions imposed to slow the spread of COVID-19, remained in place.
