The Health Ministry reported Sunday 1,429 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed since Saturday. With 24,291tests conducted, the contagion rate currently stands at 5.8%.
Currently there are 776 patients in serious condition, of which 241 are connected to ventilators.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Israel has seen 5,738 people die due to coronavirus.
