One of Israel's leading infectious disease experts called Israelis "the world's least disciplined" people after mass Purim celebrations took place across the country despite tough health measures in place.
Prof. Galia Rahav, head of the Infectious Disease Unit and Laboratories at Sheba Medical Center, told Ynet on Monday the government should wait with the reopening of indoor dining planned for next week.
"It's possible the celebrations on Purim may prevent further easing of restrictions," she said. "We want to open more schools, but I'm not sure it will be possible. With the cafes and restaurants, I would also wait. All these mass celebrations could take us back. I do not think there is a country in the world with such a lack of discipline."
