Public Health Services head warns of reopening Ben Gurion Airport

|
Head of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry, Dr. Sharon Elroi Preiss, warned during a meeting of the coronavirus cabinet that fully opening Ben Gurion Airport might lead to the entry of new coronavirus mutations into the country.
"We see many mutations out there, not just the one from New York," said Elroi Preiss. "I just hope that we will not find ourselves within a month beating ourselves for letting people with mutations enter the country and thus lead us to a catastrophe."
