Israeli turns to U.S. as ICC probes alleged war crimes

|
Israeli officials requested the assistance of the Biden administration in recent weeks in anticipation of the decision by the International Criminal Court to begin a probe into alleged war crimes committed by Israel in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip in 2014.
The matter was raised in discussions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Joe Biden in February and in Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi's discussions with his American counterpart.
