Israeli security sources say they were surprised by the announcement by Environmental Protection Minister Gila Gamlier that the oil spill off the ISraei coast was an act of environmental terrorism by Iran.
The sources said they were not involved in the investigation that Gamliel claimed had strong circumstantial evidence that a Libyan owned vessel carrying oil from Iran to Syria, but said that if that is found to be true, it may indicate the Iranians intent to exact revenge for the killing of chief nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh last November.
