Israel logs 3,517 new virus cases; infection rate lowest since end of November

The Health Ministry reported Friday that 3,517 new cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed out of some 89,000 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, meaning 4% of all tests yielded a positive result, the lowest such figure since November 24.
The virus' reproduction (R) number climbed to 1.01 in the general population, decreased to 1.06 in the Arab sector and hiked to 0.96 in the ultra-Orthodox sector after dipping to lower than 0.7.
