A senior health official said Wednesday that Israel may lift more restrictions on social gatherings soon if the coronavirus cases continue to decline.
Health Ministry Director General Prof. Hezi Levi said in an interview with Ynet TV that he hopes the restrictions will be lifted before Passover so Israelis will be able to celebrate the Jewish holiday in a traditional way.
"We did not talk about a sweeping removal of all restriction. Can we, for example, increase the number of participants at various events? This is exactly the kind of issue that will come up at our discussions."
