The Prime Minister's Office confirmed Thursday that Benjamin Netanyahu's planned trip to the UAE was canceled, saying it was due to difficulties with Jordan over the plane flying in its air zone.
"These difficulties stemmed from what seems to be the cancelation of a visit by the Jordanian crown prince to the Al Aqsa Mosque," the statement said.
Jordanian officials said that the flight was okayed to fly over the kingdom's airspace, but that difficulties rose due to the message on the visit arriving too late to make the necessary arrangements.
