Rocket sirens blared on Kibbutz Zikim near the border with the Gaza Strip and the southern city of Askelon, the IDF's Spokesperson's Unit said Thursday night.
Earlier Thursday, the military wing of the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad blamed Israel for the death of three fishermen off the coast of the seaside territory and vowed to retaliate.
Gaza's ruling faction Hamas said that the death of the fishermen was caused by an explosive-laden drone that was caught in their nets and had blown up.
