The Health Ministry reported Friday that 2,509 new cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed out of some 80,000 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, putting Israel's contagion rate at 3.1%.
There are currently 613 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in serious condition – the lowest such figure since Dec. 26 -- of which 212 are connected to ventilators.
So far, over 4 million Israelis have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
