Israel posts 1,472 new virus cases, 2.1% infection rate

Israel on Wednesday posted 1,472 new coronavirus cases diagnosed a day earlier, with the infection rate falling to 2.1%.
The Health Ministry said that on Tuesday 72,620 tests had been conducted.
The ministry said 578 patients are in serious condition, of whom 202 are ventilated. The official death toll now stands at 6,051.
