The Health Ministry reported Saturday that 1,017 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed the previous day. With 56 thousand tests conducted, the contagion rate currently stands at 1.8%.
Around the country there are currently 549 coronavirus patients in serious condition, with 199 connected to ventilators.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic has risen to 6,082 - after ten patients died on Friday and one on Saturday.
