The Health Ministry on Sunday said that 285 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed on Saturday after 17,438 tests conducted, showing a 1.7% positivity rate.
There are 561 patients in serious condition being treated in hospitals with 199 of them on ventilators.
More than 4,500,000 people have already received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine, the ministry said.
Since the start of the pandemic, 6,085 people have succumbed to the virus.
