The Health Ministry reported Sunday that 287 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed since midnight, in addition to the 337 who were diagnosed Saturday.
Around the country there are currently 548 coronavirus patients in serious condition, with 199 connected to ventilators.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic has risen to 6,085.
