Exit polls show Netanyahu short of majority without Yamina

|
Voting in Israel's Election Day ended at 10pm Tuesday with the three main television channel's exit polls predicting that Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party will likely claim 31 or 32 seats in the Knesset while his biggest rival Yair Lapid's centrist Yesh Atid pulled in just 16-18 seats, making the prime minister again the main contender to form the next government.
According to the public broadcaster KAN, Likud has won 31 seats, while Opposition Leader Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid has won 18.
Netanyahu however needs former ally and defense minister Naftali Bennett to gain the 61 Knesset seats needed to form a coalition.
