The Health Ministry will hold a discussion on the possibility of scrapping the mask mandate in the wake of dwindling COVID numbers, Israel's coronavirus czar said Thursday.
Prof. Nachman Ash told Ynet at this stage health officials are mulling allowing no-mask policy outdoors only.
"Masks are much more important when we are in a crowd or inside a confined space. I really hope that soon we will sit down and think about the exact instruction ... We are in a good shape, but we have not yet restrained the pandemic."
