Police detain an East Jerusalem resident in his 40s over an attack in the city earlier this week that left world famous chef Shalom Kadosh in serious condition.
The suspect is being questioned and will have a remand hearing after the first holy days of Passover are over.
The attack occurred at a Jerusalem gas station after Kadosh, 74, chased a thief who stole his wallet from his car. Kadosh fell as he grappled with the thief and hit his head on the floor. He has been in intensive care at Hadassah Medical Center, Ein Kerem since the attack.
