Israeli COVID variant discovered, not widespread, weak to vaccine

The Health Ministry reported that an Israeli variant of the coronavirus has been found, but it is not common nor does it cause widespread infection or serious illness. The ministry added that the vaccines used in the county's inoculation campaign have been found to be effective against this newly discovered variant.
