A three-year-old was killed Friday after being struck by a car in the Negev region. The child was taken to Be'er Sheva's Soroka Medical Center in critical condition, where he was declared dead.
It appears that the child was playing in a park when he saw his father arrive to pick him up. He ran into the street to greet him and was struck by a passing car.
The driver was detained for questioning.
