Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu Monday recommended to President Reuven Rivlin that Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid be tasked with forming the next coalition.
Their endorsement brings Lapid's backers to 39, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's to 46 and Yamina leader Naftali Bennett's to 7.
