Meretz endorses Lapid for PM

The left-wing Meretz party recommended to President Reuven Rivlin on Monday that Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid form the next government, bringing his endorsements to 45.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has so far received 52 votes, while Yamina leader Naftali Bennett has seven.
