New Hope abstains, securing most PM endorsements for Netanyahu

New Hope on Monday decided to not recommend to President Reuven Rivlin any candidate for prime minister, thus ensuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have to most endorsements to form the next government.
Netanyahu has so far received 52 votes, while Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid has 45 and Yamina chief Naftali Bennett has seven.
