Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid said Tuesday that although President Reuven Rivlin "fulfilled his duty and was left with no other choice," his decision to task Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the formation of Israel's next government was "a mark of shame for Israel and a shame for its status as a law-abiding state."
Netanyahu is currently on trial for bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
