President Reuven Rivlin opened the first session of the 24th Knesset with a warning regarding the growing rift among the people, following the prevalent political turmoil of the past two years.
"If we fail to find true partnership that will allow us to live here together, our national resilience will face real danger." Rivlin told the 120 Knesset members.
"The people of Israel are looking up to you, and expect each and everyone of you to show leadership, and this is expected not only from the Knesset member who will receive the mandate, or the new president you will elect in the coming weeks, but from each and every one of you."
