Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz, in which he warned them that Holocaust survivors would suffer if a permanent minister was not appointed to the Social Equality Ministry.
"On April 7, the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the term of Acting Minister Itzik Shmuli will expire," wrote Mandelblit. "In order to avoid bringing serious harm to the weakened public, including Holocaust survivors, I will again ask you to work to appoint a permanent minister to the ministry."
