An 18-year-old resident of East Jerusalem was arrested on suspicion of smuggling a Kalashnikov rifle into Israeli territory.
The young man attempted to run away when he noticed the police vehicle near the security fence. After a chase he was caught holding a bag containing the weapon and a cartridge.
