The Defense Ministry announced Tuesday it will launch an investigation after PTSD-afflicted veteran Itzik Saidyan set himself alight Tuesday and was hospitalized in critical condition.
"This is a harrowing and difficult event," said Amir Eshel, Defense Ministry DG. "It is the duty of the ministry to fulfill its moral obligation to the State of Israel to care for and rehabilitate those it sent to its defense. We are determined to bring substantial change."
