Lapid dismisses Netanyahu calls for direct PM election

Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid dismisses Benjamin Netanyahu's repeated calls for a direct election for prime minister as a way to end the political stalemate.
"The State of Israel does not need another election campaign," said Lapid.
"This is not a direct election," he said, "it's a time-wasting exercise at the expense of the public. It is time to form a unity government in Israel. It is possible."
