Following the riots in Jerusalem, in which hundreds of Palestinians have taken part of, the Islamic Jihad stated that "al-Aqsa Masque is a red line. Behind the Palestinian people in East Jerusalem stand the entire Palestinian people."
"We will not allow the settlers to defile the masque," the terrorist group added. "The Palestinian people will unanimously thwart the enemy's plots. We will respond to any damage [to the masque] in kind."
