Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas laid the groundwork for the cancellation of the Palestinian parliamentary elections, allegedly due to Israel's lack of agreement for the voting to take place in East Jerusalem.
"We want elections in Jerusalem just like the elections in Ramallah. With full election propaganda in the Holy City. We made it clear that we would not go to the polls without Jerusalem," said Abbas. "If Israel agrees to the elections in Jerusalem - they will happen."
